Team NITRo

Team NITRo is a student-run rescue robot development team based in the Sato Laboratory at Nagoya Institute of Technology.

The team is currently developing a crawler-type robot named IMAX2, and participates in competitions such as RoboCup and the World Robot Summit.

Main Objectives
  • Development of UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) capable of operating in disaster environments, including vehicle design and selection of actuators and sensors.
  • Development and operation of various core technologies based on ROS, such as navigating rough terrain, manipulator-based operations, remote control, mapping, autonomous navigation, image recognition, and image processing.
  • Practical application of research results, including user interface design utilizing advanced virtual reality technologies.
Achievements
  • RoboCup Japan Open 2025: 2nd Place
  • RoboCup 2025: 3rd Place
